Privacy

A clear outline of the information used to run this small community.

This notice covers the application information handled by Quietfolk Team.

Operator and contact

Quietfolk Team operates this application and community. Contact quietfolk.contact@gmail.com about your application, privacy or account information.

What we collect

The application asks for your name or nickname, contact email, age range, country, timezone, languages, interests, participation reasons, previous app experience, dating intent, rules agreement and willingness to pay. Please do not include sensitive personal information.

Operators also record review decisions, membership payment status, Discord user ID and membership access status, introductions and basic participation outcomes. Private conversation transcripts are not collected for validation. Safety reports may contain information voluntarily provided by members.

Why we use it

We use this information to review applications, contact applicants, arrange suitable introductions, operate and moderate the community, handle cancellations and evaluate whether membership creates value. Access to application and moderation records is limited to operators who need it.

Services involved

Tally collects applications and Google Sheets holds the operating records. Stripe processes membership payments; this site does not collect card details. Discord hosts conversations. These services process information under their own terms and policies, and may process it outside your country.

Website measurement

If enabled, PostHog receives the page path, a random browser-session identifier, campaign source/medium/name, experiment and variant identifiers, validation stage, CTA type/position, offered price and application/submission identifiers. Operators can match application/submission identifiers with private application records; these identifiers are not fully anonymous. We do not send application answers, email addresses or conversation content. Automatic interaction capture, heatmaps and session recording are disabled. Do Not Track is respected.

PostHog processes requests in the United States and receives the network IP address needed for communication. Our project is configured to discard client IP data from stored events, and events request that location enrichment be skipped. Website measurement data uses PostHog Free retention, which guarantees one year and may retain older data in cold storage; one year is not a guaranteed deletion deadline. Application record deletion follows the separate 90-day rules below.

Browser session storage retains campaign attribution and pending application identifiers to connect your form visit with the return page. Storage generally ends when the tab session ends. Blocking measurement or storage does not prevent applying.

Retention and your choices

Application records are deleted within 90 days of rejection or withdrawal. For applicants who become members, application records are deleted within 90 days after membership ends. Payment and other records that must be retained for applicable recordkeeping duties are held separately. Safety reports are retained only as needed to investigate and address the reported concern or meet applicable recordkeeping duties.

You may ask the operator to access, correct or delete your application information. Payment records may need to be retained where required. Requests concerning information held by Stripe, Discord or other providers may also need to be made to that provider.
